A party under a grand old cottonwood tree, on a September day as leaves fell . . . .

“I offered tea, but my baby sister preferred to eat a leaf instead.”

The client had requested a soft dreamlike look and “barely blue” sky. Lynell Morgan took the photographs, with myself helping. We found a field of tall grasses to take the photos. When we arrived the next morning, surprise! - the grass had been mowed. Fortunately leaves had been falling from a grand cottonwood tree, covering part of the pasture, as it was earliest autumn in Nebraska. The leaves added their own loveliness to the scene.
